Mary J. Blige - Be Without You (Kelix's Special Request Line Rework)

Mary J. Blige - Be Without You (Kelix's Special Request Line Rework)
Mary J. Blige has come out with a new album titled "The Breakthrough". The first single from this album is a hot song called "Be Without You", it's all over the radio and burning up the charts right now. I actually never heard the original version before I did this remix...I heard another remix (a mashup actually) that was terrible, it was cold and soul-less, sounded like an assembly line robot made it. He/She really did an injustice to Mary J's powerful vocal performance.
So here's my remix, a much more, well suited remix of this track....Now with video!!!

Mariah Carey - Don't Forget About Us (Kelix's True Love Rework)

Staying on the Mariah tip, this is the most recent remix I've done. As always her vocals are superb and it was a real pleasure doing this remix. I heard a couple other remixes of this song but they didn't do her justice although the Ralphie Rosario Martini Lounge Mix wasn't bad.
Here's my mix:

Mariah, If you see this holla at your boy Kelix...we need to talk

Mariah Carey - We Belong Together (Kelix's Too Deep Rework)

Well Mariah's had a good 2005 hasn't she? Her latest album I must say is 100% quality R&B. "We Belong Together" was a great single, it just needed a little somthing...The Kelix touch. This is the first time I ever tried remixing a Mariah Carey song, and as I was remixing it I really fell in love with her vocal style.

Usher - Burn (Kelix's Sweet Heat Rework)

I never really was a fan of Usher, but I've slowly gained some respect for him over the past year. I thought he was going to be just another here today gone tomorow quick buck for some record label. But he's really come into his own with his last album and has proved to be a worthy and lasting artist. I think of him as a mordern day Michael Jackson. Dont get me wrong now, he's no Michael, but he really embodies the spirit Michael had before the metamorphosis.
Usher's "Burn" was a song when I heard it I knew that it would be better if I remixed it. So here it is

Sade - Somebody Already Broke My Heart (Kelix's VIP Lounge Remix)

Well It seems Ive got a handle on posting my tracks on here (sorry I dont know HTML).

Sade - What can you say, she's stunningly beautiful, her voice is uniquely sweet smooth and sexy, always leaving you wanting more. Uplifting love songs and heart wrenching ballads, Sade is a rare gem.

I remember the first time I heard this song...I was deep in it with a Venezuelan beauty, In mid stroke I stopped and said "that kick drum is amazing" well that blew it with her, she got up and left. That's cool though, I got up downloaded the song and spent the rest of the night remixing Sade.

Here's the result: Sade - Somebody Already Broke My Heart (Kelix's VIP Lounge Remix)

Michael Jackson - Billie Jean (Kelix's Be Careful What You Do Rework)

Since this is my first attempt at posting my tracks here, I thought I'd test it out with a classic.
Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". I remember when this song first came out, it was the dopest thing since dope. Quincy Jones did a great job producing it. Well now its my turn, I've always wanted to work with Michael, he is a truly phenomenal artist. Too bad he's gotten himself into such a mess. If he had only listened to the words he sang, "Be careful who you love...Be careful what you do".

So here's my version - Billie Jean (Kelix's Be Careful What You Do Rework)

Now Hear This!!!

This is my first attempt at this blogging thing...Im going to use this blog to post some of my music. I am a producer/remixer/dj...as soon as I can figure out how to attach music to this I will be uploading some remixes I have done. check out some of my work and let me know what you think.
